CAR PARKING

DERBY SHOP

If you are driving to our Derby shop you will find there are a number of alternative parking areas within a short walking distance. Although there is a fair amount of work being carried out to extend the inner relief road access is still available to Green Lane round Charnwood Street/ Mount Street/Burton Road loop and down Babington Lane as usual, so don't be put off. There is car parking at the top of Babington Lane but there are closer parking spaces available depending on which route you take.

Westfield Centre
If you want to combine a visit to our shop with a visit to the Westfield centre and Primark, then you could park at the centre and we are about 5 mins walk away. If you leave the centre by the St Peters Street exit turn right and walk down the pedestrianised area towards Tesco and Primark. Turn left at St Peters Churchyard and right at the end. We are a short distance down the hill on your right, set back.

Green Lane
Immediately outside our shop on street parking is available for both able bodied and disabled. There is also a car park adjacent to the Card Shop and is opposite our shop. The parking fees are very reasonable. If you are just quickly picking up goods then you can access the car park at the rear of our shop, but make sure you advise us so we can ensure you are not fined.

Becketwell Lane Car Park & Macklin Street
On street parking is available next to the Heritage Hotel and at the top of Macklin Street is the Becketwell Lane Car Park as well as the multi story car park.  Macklin Street and Becketwell can be accessed from St Alkmunds Way past Friargate and follow the road round . At traffic lights to Curzon Street veer right on to Abbey Street then immediately left onto Macklin Street. Parking is at the end of the road. We are 1 min from Macklin Street past the Hippodrome and left down hill  just before the Citizen's Advice Bureau and Derby Law Centre.

Crompton Street
Just up from Macklin Street off Green Lane and approached from Babington Lane/Green Lane is Crompton Street. This both has on street parking and a small car park immediately on the right as you turn into the street.

Gower Street, Degge Street and Wilson Street
There is more on street parking further up Green Lane.

Bold Lane Car Park
If you find it more convenient to park at the other side of the town centre with access to Sadler Gate, Bold Lane Car Park might be a better alternative for you. If you leave the car park by the Cheapside entrance veer right past the Church and onto Wardwick.  Green Lane is past the Museum and library and to the right of the old Debenhams building (now Star Furnishings). We are close to the bottom on the left hand side.
